Canada 2007
CANADA, AN INDIAN WORD MEANING "BIG VILLAGE",
HAS MORE LAKES THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED.
In July of 2007, granddad, Glenn Harding and grandsons, Josh and Jevon Harding, flew from Harlingen, Texas on Southwest Airlines to Portland, Oregon and transferred to Canada Airlines to Vancouver, Canada. Here we boarded the Rocky Mountaineer Train to see the Canadian Rockies. It was a two day trip, with a one night stop at Kamloops. Here we went to a dinner theater and saw a Lumber Jack Show. The next night we were in Banff and toured the town, and then on to Lake Louise and the Chateau Hotel. A helicopter ride over glaciers and a gondola ride to the top of the mountain gave us a good view of the Rockies. Then a bus took us to Calgary where we rented a car to drive to Drumheller to see the Royal Tyrrell Museum of dinosaurs. Then we flew from Calgary to Portland and home to Harlingen.
